"Thirst is a late sign of dehydration"
Glove Exchange

The Glove Exchange Program was started in 2005. This was thought to be a good way to deal with frostbite in the winter as well as general comfort on the fireground. The fire departments listed above helped make this program a success by donating pairs of gloves. The way this program was designed is simple. If a firefighter is working at an incident and their gloves become wet and uncomfortable, they simply exchange them at the rehab area for a dry pair. There set goes back into the pile to be cleaned, washed, and distributed to someone else at another fire. If the gloves are a personal pair that the firefighter doesn’t want to get rid of, they can pick them up and return the borrowed ones at the end of the incident or pick them up from Roger with in seven days after the fire. If they are not picked up with in that time frame they go back into the distribution pile. If you are interested in joining this program contact Roger.
